/ Mike Ulm is an Illustrator and Graphic Designer with a BA from Columbia College Chicago focusing on Concept Art & Character Design. He currently works as a Pre-Production Artist for a Sports Apparel company and a freelance illustrator with past experience in graphic design and print production. His freelance work includes collaborations with Charlie Curtis Beard, NEU, Mr. Fruit, Rhabby_V, Blessious, Kelly Lombardi, and Sir Aaerios on Youtube. Past projects range from apparel design, Video Thumbnails, emotes, UI, album covers, film posters, animation, and logo design. Mike strives to have a career where he collaborates with other creatives in a variety of media.
He creates his art through a variety of mediums, including digital (Procreate/Photoshop), traditional medias from ink + markers to pastels + pencil, and through experimentation in sketchbooks, writing, and figure drawing studies. His technology system proficiencies include Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, ClipStudio Paint, Procreate, Microsoft & Google Office, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Asana, Slack, and Microsoft/Mac OS. From UI design to album artwork, personal commissions and sign painting—Mike is a crucial creative mind to have on any Art Direction Team.
